Handlelife Legacy Foundation

Providing education, mentorship, and opportunity to youth through basketball and creative learning

Every child deserves a place to belong. Too many young people lack positive role models, safe places to grow, quality coaching, and opportunities that can change the direction of their lives. The Handlelife Legacy Foundation exists to close that gap through basketball, mentorship, education, and leadership development.

About the Foundation

Building Leaders On and Off the Court

The Handlelife Legacy Foundation (501(c)(3)) provides education, mentorship, and opportunity to youth through basketball and creative learning.

Mission Statement

To empower the next generation of youth to become leaders on and off the court by providing elite basketball training, comprehensive mentorship, and creative educational opportunities that build clear college pathways and lifelong success.

Founded by Johnny Stephene (Dribble2Much), the foundation operates from Handlelife HQ in Chatsworth, CA — a training and mentorship hub that combines basketball, tutoring, and leadership development.

Our goal is to help kids grow as students, athletes, and leaders, while creating real exposure and college pathways through athletics and academics.

Handlelife Experiences

The Handlelife Experiences are free events hosted by our Handlelife Legacy Foundation to give young kids from the community access to learn about basketball culture, train, compete, and the opportunity for exposure. We host these Experiences frequently and usually partner with renowned coaches, NBA players, entrepreneurs, mental health and nutrition specialists, career speakers, and others who serve as mentors and can motivate and inspire young players to focus on hard work and the pursuit of their dreams.

Meet the Founder

From the Court to the Community

Johnny Stephene created the Handlelife Legacy Foundation because he saw too many talented young people held back by circumstances—not ability. Financial barriers, limited mentorship, and a lack of safe, positive environments prevent countless kids from reaching their potential.

For Johnny, basketball is more than a game—it's a tool to build confidence, character, and opportunity. The Foundation exists to ensure every child has the support, guidance, and belief they need to succeed in sports, school, and life.

Through the Handlelife Legacy Foundation, Johnny combines his passion for basketball with a commitment to education and mentorship, creating pathways for young athletes to succeed both on and off the court.
